Breagha House

reagha House, meaning “splendid and beautiful”, is in the small village of Hayton which is 3.5 miles from the market town of Retford. The house is a newly renovated home that provides safe, secure, excellent quality residential care for ten young adults that may have severe to moderate learning disabilities, Autism and/or challenging behaviour. The small market town of Retford features fine Georgian buildings, a spacious square and two theatres. The town played a remarkable part in the story of the Pilgrim Fathers, who fled to America in 1620 after being persecuted for their religious beliefs. Markets are held regularly in the town including antique and bric-a-brac on specific days.
Hayton itself is a small village with a play park opposite the home, and has a village hall that has various groups going on for people to get involved in the community. The village is located 26 miles from the city of Lincoln and 35 miles from Nottingham, it has the benefit of a regular bus service into the town of Retford and nearby Gainsborough so has lots of local amenities within easy reach that are easily accessible by means of public transport. There are also lots of local activities to enjoy getting out and about. The village is close to Clumber Park, Sundown Adventure Land and Thoresby Hall.
The home itself is set in approximately 3 acres of land and is an imposing, modern property standing in an elevated location, with lots of large communal spaces including two large lounge areas and a snug room that provides additional opportunities for quiet contemplation, as well as a substantial kitchen and dining room. It has four downstairs bedrooms and six upstairs, all with en-suite facilities. The grounds of the home enjoy an outlook onto fields and include a paddock area, as well as well-maintained gardens at both the front and back of the home.
